As leaves change color and drift to the ground, and as cooler temperatures creep in, come and get inspired with Chef Robyn who will be featuring various cozy autumn recipes. Kids will prepare for the season with hearty, tasty, and savory dishes. It's harvest time, and many of our favorite veggies and fruits are in season, and ready to use, some right from our Farm gardens. Sweet potatoes, squash, pumpkin, apples, and more. We will use these crops in our recipes, such as Maple-Roasted Chicken with Acorn Squash, Sweet Potato Fries, Apple & Pear Tarts, Zucchini & Cheese Drop Biscuits, and Pumpkin Swirl Cheesecake Bars.
Chef Robyn has been developing and delivering personalized cooking programs, birthday parties, and facilitating educational experiences for after-school programs promoting food exploration for 20 years. She teaches basic techniques and methods to build confidence and independence in the kitchen. She teaches classes that encourage creativity, responsibility, and fun! Her classes incorporate fresh ingredients with an eye toward nutrition to teach students how healthy food can be tasty food. Children learn a variety of helpful skills, such as measuring, baking, browning, crushing, kneading, chopping, melting, following directions and staying safe in the kitchen.
